If you have bought peony seeds from Will Mc Lewin in the earlier years, you will see his seed list is seperated into numbers – theese numbers refers to
1. 1 . 1 – if the seed is wild collected ( numbers 1. – and then number for collected place – futher number for other collections of places in the same area, or sub species of the species )
3 .1.1 – hybrids of the peony herbacaous species
4.1.1 – tree peony species
Here the 4.23.2 – is a hybrid tree peony seed plant from open pollinated tree peonies !
Hello, I’m also a peony collector. Do you happen to have pictures of your seedlings with the leaves?
Many of my seeds from many species of peonies are germinating now in prepartion to sprout next spring.
